Monsoon – Karkkidaka – Programme

Ayurveda practitioners are deeply cognisant of the seasons and their effects on the human body. Each season brings with it changes in the body, and in order to ensure those changes are considered and addressed, one must modify diet, exercise, and therapies to best suit a new environment. While the monsoon – or Karkkidaka – season is known to make the body more susceptible to illness, it is also a time when the body is most receptive to Ayurvedic therapies, making it the ideal time for a wellness experience.

From May to September of each year, Amal Tamara’s Monsoon Programme offers guests the ability to assess and address needs during the Karkkidaka season. Chikitsa in this season offers a holistic approach to healing, geared towards preventative therapies, focussed on balancing the doshas and cleansing the body.
